This is a very great comfortable pair of shoes! It was a great value and I am glad I was directed to Amazon to find them on line! I would recommend these to any of you ladies that have trouble walking or those that need a nice comfortable - yet fashionable pair of tennis shoes!

I am on my 5th pairDec 18, 2007
By Arlington Book Babe I have tried several tennis shoes and this is my favorite. It is very stable and has excellent support. I like the Barricades so much that once I start wearing a pair, I order a new pair so I always have backups waiting in my closet. I hope Adidas doesn't change the shoe or stop manufacturing them.
Loved my 1st pair, undecided about recent purchaseJan 19, 2012
By CaliGirl My first pair of Barricade IIs from 2008 were amazingly comfortable. They felt like pillows on my feet the moment I put them on. My feet tire easily, so cushioning is a top priority for me. And though they are heavier than most, as others have noted, I liked the stability and support on the court. I play up to 3 times a week on and off throughout the year and these have lasted me over 2 years. I'm a 4.0 player, but I'm petite, 5'0" 100 lbs., so I'm generally not too hard on my shoes. However, I was surprisingly disappointed with my most recent replacement pair. As a poster on another site mentioned, I suspect Adidas is making them differently, cutting back on cushioning or using inferior materials. Even the shoe felt a little longer, the toe box was looser and didn't fit like a glove like my previous pair, although they did measure up to the same length on the outside. I wear a size 5 so unfortunately there's no sizing down for me. Will probably hold on to these until I find a comparable replacement, but disappointed that they didn't measure up. I'm hoping it was just a defective pair because I really loved these shoes...

Heard from tennis friends that these were the best--they are! I guess they are an earlier model you cant get everywhere, but I'm glad I found them on Amazon. I couldn't even get them on the Adidas site.
