The information says these last up to three hours but I find they last much longer than that. The first one we tried, I used a bit too much force when snapping it and it ruptured so be careful when you activate them. I am experimenting with freezing them or heating them after use to see if it is possible to reactivate them. Will try to update if I have any success.

The glowstick system works perfectly, and I've had a lot of fun knocking these around at night. I normally play badminton, and used these as an alternative to the item I'd really like to have bought; luminous shuttlecocks (which doesn't exist, I don't think). If anyone else is thinking of using these as a badminton shuttlecock substitute they should be aware of the huge performance difference... these things reach land about ten times further than would a shuttlecock struck with the same power.

I did't realize they were not battery operated and ordered them....I never used them. I wouldn't have ordered them If I had realized what they were. they are too heavy for badminton shuttlecocks

IT is kind of expensive for very small glow sticks but I can't find it elsewhere. It works great, bright and last 2-3 days if you keep it in the fridge when unused. PAckaging is great.
