great setJan 06, 2010
By John A. Cece I just received these marbelized bocce balls. They are exactly what I expected. Beautiful professional set. The carrying case is not bad, but it's all about the balls. Solid. A little bigger than I am used to but not too big. I havent yet played with them but I am sure I will be getting a lot of compliments on them.

Decent balls, terrible bagApr 16, 2009
By A. Peuler You'd think when they sold a product that weighs 30 lbs, that they would think to make the bag strong enough to hold it, but the seams are weak and the zipper is cheap. Zipper popped the first time I tried to pick up the bag from the top handle and the seams broke the first time I used the shoulder strap. Worthless.

Poor packaging - broken ballDec 10, 2008
By Stacy Palm I received this as a gift today, and it seems like a good quality product, but it was not packaged very good. As a result one of the balls was cracked. I've written an email to the company and am waiting a response. Also of note, this set comes in a very nice carrying case, but the storofoam used in the top stuck to the inside of the case and molded to it. Another thing - I did not receive any measuring tool with the set; just the balls and the case.
Halex Premier Bocce - Beautiful Set of BallsMar 23, 2011
By Nate Van Schaik Two words: Gorgeous balls. My Halex Premier Bocce set is, without a doubt, the most appealing and perhaps the sturdiest set of balls I've every purchased in my lengthy career in the amateur bocce circuit. I would know. I've played with a lot of balls.
Here's an antidote that stands as testimony. I've been bringing my bocce sets to office parties and family functions for years. At a recent office party, my boss brought his Italian-made and overpriced Perfecta Pro Bocce Set--a mistake from the get-go. Not to be outdone, I pulled out my balls and people just gawked. "We want to play with your balls," my co-workers pleaded. Additionally, because I had opted for the 109 mm Halex set--something I highly recommend for freestyle bowlers--my balls were much larger than my boss's. Sturdy, beautiful and well polished. Needless to say, I love my balls.
A word about the ball sack. Some have argued that the ball sack is cheap and rips easily. True enough. Here's a little tip. When your bocce set arrives in the mail, it will come in a large box. Tear open the box and discard it. But inside the ball sack there is an additional box holding the balls in place. Keep that box in the sack. It keeps the sack sturdy and will help preserve your ball sack for years to come. Enjoy!

Nice balls. Not as pictured.Sep 09, 2008
By J. Parker This bocce set arrived today so I haven't had yet played with it. I'm sure it's good quality and all, but, being a graphic designer, I am very sensitive to the visual side of things and THESE BALLS ARE NOT SOLID in color. They are marbled. I did not want marbled balls. I wanted pretty solid colored balls like the ones pictured with this item description. Hmph. Marbled is just so untraditional.
